About
I was a punk kid who just wanted to be creative.
I picked up the bass. Then guitar. Then wrote some songs. Then after making noise in the Los Angeles DIY scene for a few years, I turned to poetry. But poetry doesn’t pay the bills.
Writing poems for capitalism does.
As a copywriter, my motivation is the same. To keep creating, and make a living while doing it. But in a competitive industry like advertising – where it’s easy for anxiety to take over – I want do it while checking the ego at the door. Being nice to my teammates. And helping up-and-coming creatives along the way.
Because everybody starts somewhere.
